Upon HARD ROCK takeover and acquisition of the Mine, the management immediately initiated the rehabilitation of the mine; this rehab period took 2 years.
During rehab pits were found to be flooded and drowned, with the main pit collapsed due to previous poor planning and design of the quarry.

Dewatering – Purchased the Correct type of Pumps in terms of size and capacity to pump and dewater the drowned pits.
Built Protection Dams upstream to divert rainwater floods from the pit.
